HR Generalist - Co. Cork (Hybrid)
Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a HR Generalist on behalf of our client, a well-established agribusiness based in Co. Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a dynamic organisation and play a key role in supporting business performance through effective people management, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives.
Salary: €40k - €45k
Hours: Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies to meet business needs and manage the full recruitment lifecycle in line with best practice procedures
- Act as a key HR point of contact for designated stores and stakeholders, providing advice and support on people strategy, best practice, and performance improvement
- Build and manage strong working relationships with trade unions at store and site level, addressing issues as they arise
- Lead the rollout and ongoing management of the performance management framework, supporting development conversations, succession planning, and the management of underperformance
- Ensure robust HR processes and systems are in place across the full employee lifecycle, maintaining compliance with company policy and employment legislation
- Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring timely, fair, and effective resolution
- Drive employee engagement and communication initiatives across the business
- Develop and implement learning and development programmes to support employee growth and potential in line with company policies
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Human Resources
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced HR environment, ideally supporting retail, agribusiness, or a similar sector
- Strong experience partnering with management teams in a generalist HR capacity
- Solid knowledge of Irish employment law, employee relations, and best practice HR procedures
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities
