We look for an experienced and dynamic professional to lead the Finance function within a regulated environment (fintech). This individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of financial operations while driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
Primary Objective:
To manage and oversee the Finance function by building trust, motivating the team, meeting deadlines, enhancing processes, and introducing efficiencies that support and control growing business activity.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Lead the Finance team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices across all financial operations.
Financial Operations
- Oversee financial accounting, including revenue accounting, accounts payable, month-end and year-end closings, and financial controls.
- Maintain and update financial procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations and Compliance teams to safeguard client assets and ensure controlled processing.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare, analyze, and review internal and external financial statements.
- Support timely filing of regulatory reports and escalate relevant matters to senior management and the Board as required.
- Work closely with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
Planning and Strategy
- Manage financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance explanations.
- Evaluate and implement systems to improve efficiency and automation in financial processes.
Treasury and Tax
- Oversee treasury management, including bank accounts, cash management, and reconciliations.
- Manage corporate tax obligations (direct and indirect).
Global Coordination
- Collaborate with international offices to ensure transparency and alignment on finance-related matters.
- Participate in internal and global projects to ensure effective coordination across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, preferably within regulated financial services (e.g., payment institutions, banks).
- Ideally crypto or payments experience.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of multicultural work environments.
- Hands-on experience with accounting processes from journal entry to reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software.
- Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Solid knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP; IFRS and US GAAP are a plus.
- Previous experience in the financial sector is desirable; experience in Japanese multinationals is an advantage.
