About the role

You’ll build and maintain the digital ecosystem behind our microfarms: the Flutter app, backend services, cloud infrastructure and the communication layer between app ↔ cloud ↔ device (BLE, WiFi, MQTT).

📍 This is an on-site role in Amsterdam: We work closely with hardware and firmware, so being in the office is essential.

Approx. breakdown: 30% frontend, 30% backend, 40% infrastructure/architecture.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain our Flutter mobile app
• Develop backend functionality using Supabase, PostgreSQL, serverless/edge functions
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure & DevOps workflows
• Implement communication using BLE, WiFi, MQTT
• Improve OTA updates, data sync, and device-cloud reliability
• Set up staging environments, backups and system documentation

🚦 Must-haves

• Based in the Netherlands and able to work on-site in Amsterdam
• 3+ years of programming experience
• Understanding of systems, layers, networking, and communication protocols
• Comfortable across mobile + backend + cloud + IoT
• EU work authorization or valid NL visa/work permit

Nice to have

Flutter/Dart, Supabase, TypeScript, MQTT, BLE/WiFi integrations, STM32 familiarity, IoT security (encryption, OTA, PKI).
