The Role
As Chief Technology Officer, you will shape and lead the future of DIB Travel’s technology platform. You will be responsible for owning the technical vision, driving innovation, and accelerating the development roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership position, overseeing multiple cross-functional development teams and playing a strategic role within the management team. The KEY objective is to ensure increased business velocity through higher quality developer output
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the technical roadmap aligned with business goals
- Recruit, lead, and mentor distributed engineering teams (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, SRE, Data)
- Set architectural direction for a scalable, reliable, and performant travel platform
- Manage stakeholder communication and collaborate with CPO and other executives
- Optimize development velocity and team efficiency through agile processes, hands-on participation in the daily scrum, as well as clear priorities and follow-through
- Measure and improve key KPIs including system performance, availability, and failure rates
- Lead strategic initiatives such as ISO27001 certification and platform re-architecture
- Maintain relationships with key technology partners and third-party vendors
Who We Think You Are
- You have 5+ years in c-level technical management, with overall responsibility for both Roadmap and delivery
- Background in distributed systems architecture and systems integrations
- Solid Degree (M. Sc.) in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
- Fluent English required, Swedish is a plus
- Experience in the travel, e-commerce, or booking technology sectors is highly beneficial
- You have a problem solver mentality and a can-do attitude – you’re able to see the big picture and focus on root-cause resolution, rather than symptom-chasing
