We're looking for a skilled textile designer with a strong sense of style to join our Eat team. If you thrive on shaping industry-leading products and have a passion for interior design, this is the role for you.
As a Product Designer for Textile, you'll be the main creative force behind developing current and commercial textile products for Homes kitchen department. You'll work with a diverse range of kitchen textile products, ensuring every piece combines great design with strategic pricing and exceptional quality. You'll utilize customer insights, interior trends, competitor analysis, and selling data to develop the best customer offer.
You will work with identifying key materials, colors, patterns, and prints to coordinating products into coherent, current, and commercial collections. You'll create artworks and product specifications to enable an efficient sample process, review prototypes, and revise when needed. The role requires you to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on design work.
You will be a part of a forward-thinking, innovative, and energetic cross-functional product team consisting of Product Managers, Product Developers, Product Planners, and fellow Product Designers.
We're looking for a self-driven designer who thrives on taking ownership and have a passion for textile design. We also think you have:
BA or MA degree in Textile Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design or equivalent experience
3 + years' experience working with textile/interior design
In-depth knowledge of the interior and/or retail industry with a strong sense of style and trends
Customer-centric mindset with clear understanding of our H&M Home customer
Well-developed sense of color and ability to create commercial color combinations
Strong design skills with ability to create current and commercial products that meet requirements in terms of design level, price, quality, and sustainability
Comprehensive knowledge of textile materials, constructions, and components (weaving, printing techniques, fabric properties, etc.)
Proficiency in relevant design applications and software such as Illustrator & Photoshop. Other visualization tools are meriting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment
Additional information
This position is based in Stockholm, trend– and production travels occur. You will report to the Product Assortment Designer.
