Major accountabilities:
- Act as a business partner in all activities relating to the contractual negotiations and company’s statutory obligations by substantiating recommendations and providing legal advice and assistance to the legal manager/Head Legal.
- Draft basic transactions and contracts independently.
- Manage disputes and litigation and/or investigations.
- Partner and liaise with external local counsels.
- Manage relationships and monitors the work of outside counsel and legal experts.
- Manage and support activities regarding compliance issues.
- Participate in the development, recommendation and implementation of legal policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Operational support on compliance systems and establishing up to date compliance processes.
- Co-ordinate and support all compliance tasks in country. Provide comprehensive, contextual advice to influence actions regarding local business activities to ensure adherence to policies and guidelines in a collaborative and business partnering approach
- Support in developing, refining, and adapting standards related to compliance to meet evolving requirements; promote consistently high ethical standards and operational excellence
- Develop and implement compliance training plan and awareness program
- Identify and communicate deviations and risks to the business, develop appropriate remediation plans ensuring adequate implementation.
- Create thorough analytic reviews and management reports. Analyze the quality of the data and processes in place and liaise with the L&C Head to ensure the performance of
- timely, sound and fact-based risk assessments, self-assessments and related monitoring
Work Experience:
- Law degree
- Min. 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment
