Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers and firewalls.
- Manage and administer network infrastructure such as WAN, LAN, and wireless networks.
- Identify and resolve network issues or outages promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with network architects to optimize network performance and functionality.
- Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Maintain network documentation to include current configurations and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users for network-related issues.
- Perform regular backup operations and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and maintain network policies and standard operation procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners for hardware or software installations.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in networking.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience in network administration or IT support roles.
- Proficient understanding of network protocols, firewall management, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with IT and non-IT staff.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification will be an added advantage.
