Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in documenting requirements, facilitating discussions, and working within agile environments. This role involves engaging with diverse stakeholders, analyzing business processes, and driving solutions that support organizational goals.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Location is CAD $85k – CAD $90k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role - Business Consultant - Intermediate

Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
  • Expertise in gathering requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, and business process modeling.
  • Demonstrated leadership or facilitation experience in stakeholder engagement and requirements sessions.
  • Hands-on experience working within an agile development environment..

Requirements:

  • Active professional certification or accreditation in business analysis or a related discipline from a recognized body (e.g., IIBA, PMI-PBA, CBAP).
  • Knowledge of various software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements from stakeholders across multiple ministries or departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to solution design.
  • Excellent business writing, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with change management initiatives.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Active professional certification or accreditation in a related discipline from a recognized issuing body.
  • Knowledge of various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.).

Qualifications
