Morgan McKinley is hiring for a Software Engineer (Backend) for a 8-month contract assignment with a possibility to extend or to go perm!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and communicate detailed technical design proposals, translating complex features and systems effectively.
• Collaborate with product, design, support, and cross-functional teams to define and refine project specifications.
• Design, implement, and test complex project features (unit and end-to-end) to meet release timelines.
• Build front-end interfaces, APIs, and backend systems using programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP (Hack), or Python.
• Work with Product, Platform, and Operations teams to create scalable consumer products and build an automated operational platform.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of full-stack projects with industry-wide impact.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across functions to drive technical solutions.
• Experience working with and influencing senior engineers and technical leaders across organizations.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time within large-scale, cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in managing and using decentralized source control tools like Git and Mercurial within large team environments; proficient with React, Vue, Angular, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
