About the role
As part of its strong growth, VirtualiSurg is looking to strengthen its team with Tech Artists for VR, to aid the
development of world class training medical stations, thus supporting the creation of realistic virtual environments
and simulations.
To improve the realism of our simulations while interacting with organs in XR, we are looking for someone with high
skills for Unity 3D pipeline and shader programming, who will be responsible for porting and optimizing physics
engine algorithms, initially developed in C# and C++ to be used in the GPU.
This position will allow you to work in a highly innovative, young and dynamic environment with a strong social
impact, where you will work together with multidiscipline teams to produce highly immersive content.
Missions
. Optimize existing physics engine algorithms by porting it to the GPU
. Produce optimized Assets/Shaders/Tools/Scripts in a photo-realistic style that is suitable for VR (Virtual Reality)

. Work with the team to analyze the visual requirements and provide effective solutions
. Engage in the collective responsibility of maintaining a high-quality product
Essential Qualifications
. School of Engineering, Computer Science, Game Design or related fields. PhD in physics engine, algorithm
optimization or related fields will be a plus
. A good knowledge of written and spoken English is necessary
. 5 years of professional experience in shader development in Unity 3D or related. Not necessary if PhD in related field.
. In-depth knowledge of Unity and its pipeline
. Experience with physics simulation and optimization for real-time game engines.
. Other 3D development projects completed in a similar tech role within games, simulation and VR.
. Experience in Mixed Reality / Augmented Reality development would be a plus
. Experience with a real-time mesh deformation engine would be a plus
. Knowledge of the medical world would be a plus
