The Role: The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, governance, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring remediation activities meet regulatory, customer, and organisational expectations.
The Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a large-scale remediation and recovery program, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to agreed recovery objectives.
- Establish and manage robust project governance, reporting, risks, issues, and dependencies in line with public sector standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across technology, billing, customer service, finance, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve system and process defects.
- Oversee delivery of a structured Return to Service Plan, tracking remediation milestones, customer impact resolution, and benefits realisation.
- Prepare executive-level reporting, briefings, and recommendations for senior leadership, steering committees, and regulators.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering complex remediation, recovery, or turnaround programs within government, utilities, or highly regulated environments.
- Strong background delivering IT-enabled business transformation or system recovery initiatives (billing, ERP, CRM, or customer platforms preferred)
- Proven capability in governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement at executive and operational levels
- Experience working with system integrators and vendors to stabilise platforms, remediate defects, and transition to business-as-usual operations
- Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills, with the ability to operate confidently in high-pressure, high-visibility environments
