We are looking for a Development Team Lead to join our Brussels office, to oversee a team of three developers (two backend and one frontend), ensuring high-quality deliverables and smooth day-to-day operations. You will act as a mentor, foster collaboration, and maintain technical excellence within the team.

Your Role

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the development team, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and quality assurance processes.
• Monitor development and project progress and proactively address potential risks or delays.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align team output with business objectives.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Support planning and estimation for upcoming projects.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in software development with leadership experience.
• Hands-on mindset, with the willingness to take on backend development tasks when needed.
• Background in backend development; COBOL expertise is essential.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, or related field.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Independent and proactive work attitude, combined with team spirit.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; Dutch and French are a plus.
