Java Application Engineer – About the role

We are looking for a Java Application Engineer to maintain, evolve, and integrate business-critical applications within a digital and e-commerce environment.

The role combines hands-on Java development, application and ERP integration, and application-level support, while also contributing to application architecture decisions in collaboration with the internal IT team.

Java Application Engineer – Key Responsibilities

• Ensure corrective and evolutive maintenance of the webshop and other digital channels.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications.
• Implement and manage integrations between external applications and the ERP, ensuring reliable and consistent data flows (orders, products, customers, stock, invoicing, etc.).
• Provide end-user support at application level to ensure smooth and efficient use of digital solutions.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the application architecture, based on business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment.
• Participate in technology choices and proactively propose technical improvements.
• Create and update technical documentation, models, and diagrams describing implemented solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and internal IT standards.

Java Application Engineer – Profile

• Medior experience as a Java Application Engineer / Application Developer.
• Strong background in Java development and application maintenance.

• Experience working with ERP systems and digital or e-commerce environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Comfortable combining hands-on development, integration, and application support.
• Structured, analytical, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of logistics and supply-chain processes in ERP and e-commerce contexts is a strong asset.
