As Strategic Product Manager, the purpose of the job role is to handle product(s) from strategy to end of life. Exceeding expectations from the market and increasing profitability when appropriate, considering dependencies and prioritizations within Ericsson.
What you will do?
- Have strategic product ownership of Wireless Airspace Defense (WAD) solution within the Ericsson Security Manager, providing detection and mitigation capabilities against emerging wireless threats
- Lead product strategy execution in collaboration with other product managers and development
- Define the long-term strategy and roadmap for the WAD in alignment with unit’s and Ericsson’s overall business goals
- Develop and maintain business cases for new product initiatives and enhancements
- Collaborate closely across Ericsson with Development, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Market Area/Customer unit
- Represent the product line in customer discussions, product reviews, and industry forums
- Define KPIs and success metrics for product performance
- Long-term experience in radio technology development and/or research within mobile telecommunications (e.g., RF, RAN, spectrum, wireless protocols)
- Strong understanding of wireless threats targeting mobile networks and subscribers –such as jamming, SMS blasting, IMSI-catchers, and other radio-layer or signaling-based attacks – along with knowledge of how these threats are identified and detected in mobile networks
- Knowledge of major RAN vendors, their product portfolios, and the overall RAN architecture and solutions landscape
- Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management to lead across technical and commercial domains
- Capable of translating strategy into actionable plans and driving execution to delivery
- Coping with pressures and setbacks
- Sound knowledge of product management
- Genuine interest in/knowledge of customer and business management
- Genuine interest in product architecture and technology
- Min years of experience: 5 years in product business in telco/security
- Domain expertise: 3GPP technologies, Radio technologies, Telecom security, Telco solutions both in RAN and Core, OSS
- Education: MSc/PhD
