Senior Platform / Full-Stack Engineer - React
Location: Dublin (2β3 days onsite)
Contract Rate: β¬550 per day
My client, within Financial Services, are looking for React Developer for an initial 6 Months Contract.
The role is to join a highly technical engineering team working on internal automation and infrastructure tooling. This is a hands-on contract role where you will have a direct impact on how engineering teams build, deploy, and manage infrastructure at scale.
π§ The Role
You will play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing a browser-based internal automation platform used by engineers across the organisation. Working within a fully internal infrastructure environment, you will collaborate closely with platform, infrastructure, and engineering stakeholders to evolve tooling that supports Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) and platform engineering best practices.
π Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance a modern browser-based internal automation tool for engineering teams
- Develop and maintain platform engineering solutions that support Infrastructure as Code (IaaC)
- Work within a fully internal, client-owned infrastructure environment
- Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tooling, performance, and developer experience
- Actively participate in technical discussions, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and take ownership of assigned tasks
π‘ Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React (v19) and Next.js for modern web application development
- Backend and data experience using PostgreSQL
- Solid software engineering fundamentals with a strong understanding of infrastructure and IaaC concepts
- Experience in platform engineering or developer roles supporting infrastructure systems
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage, challenge, and speak up in cross-functional engineering environments
