We are currently hiring for our client, a global leader in the payments industry, who is seeking a
Senior Software Engineer for an exciting long-term project.
- π 12-month contract with 12-month renewal
- πΆ β¬605 per day
- π Hybrid working model
Role Overview: You'll be part of the Security and Cyber Solutions team, developing high-performance, high-volume Java applications to drive fraud prevention and protect cardholders. This role is key to building new backend and consumer-facing features for a cutting-edge fraud prevention platform that processes billions of transactions monthly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Java-based applications using Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices architecture
- Work closely with technical leads, business analysts, and system analysts to define features and user stories
- Act as a point-of-contact for production support issues
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to planning and developing scalable software solutions
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proficiency with Java SDK 1.8 or greater
- Strong knowledge of software development processes including Agile/SAFe
- Hands-on experience with technologies like JBoss, Tomcat, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Linux, SQL, Kafka, and Spring
- Experience working with Eclipse or IntelliJ
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (PCF, Azure) and microservices architecture
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
