We are currently hiring for our client, a global leader in the payments industry, who is seeking a

Senior Software Engineer for an exciting long-term project.

• 📄 12-month contract with 12-month renewal
• 💶 €605 per day
• 🌍 Hybrid working model

Role Overview: You'll be part of the Security and Cyber Solutions team, developing high-performance, high-volume Java applications to drive fraud prevention and protect cardholders. This role is key to building new backend and consumer-facing features for a cutting-edge fraud prevention platform that processes billions of transactions monthly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Java-based applications using Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices architecture
• Work closely with technical leads, business analysts, and system analysts to define features and user stories
• Act as a point-of-contact for production support issues
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to planning and developing scalable software solutions

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proficiency with Java SDK 1.8 or greater
• Strong knowledge of software development processes including Agile/SAFe
• Hands-on experience with technologies like JBoss, Tomcat, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Linux, SQL, Kafka, and Spring
• Experience working with Eclipse or IntelliJ
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (PCF, Azure) and microservices architecture
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
