What You'll Do
As our Software Engineer in Test, you'll solve the challenge of ensuring reliable, scalable end-to-end test automation in a regulated fintech environment. Your focus will be owning and evolving E2E test automation, which means designing robust Playwright test scenarios, maintaining a high-quality TypeScript-based test framework, and improving test coverage across critical user journeys. You'll work with frontend engineers, backend engineers, and product owners to support continuous delivery of high-quality software and increase confidence in releases across the content platform.

What You'll Do
As our Software Engineer in Test, you'll solve the challenge of ensuring reliable, scalable end-to-end test automation in a regulated fintech environment. Your focus will be owning and evolving E2E test automation, which means designing robust Playwright test scenarios, maintaining a high-quality TypeScript-based test framework, and improving test coverage across critical user journeys. You'll work with frontend engineers, backend engineers, and product owners to support continuous delivery of high-quality software and increase confidence in releases across the content platform.
You will:
- Design and implement end-to-end test scenarios using Playwright and TypeScript
- Own and maintain key parts of the E2E automation framework, including structure, fixtures, and best practices
- Ensure meaningful test coverage across critical user flows, CMS integrations, and dynamic content rendering
- Debug, stabilize, and improve flaky or failing tests, reducing false positives
- Propose and implement improvements to testing processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to review features from a testing and quality perspective
Must-haves
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or test automation (Software Engineer in Test, QA Automation Engineer, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and modern E2E testing frameworks
- Ability to write, debug, and maintain UI, API, and integration tests
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies (Vue, Astro, SSR/SSG, island architecture)
- Experience working with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) in a cloud-native environment
- Strong knowledge of test structure best practices (Page Object Model, fixtures, tagging strategies)
- Experience with web accessibility testing and WCAG compliance
- Ability to reason about edge cases, identify gaps in coverage, and take ownership of test quality
- Experience with performance testing, Core Web Vitals, or observability tooling
- Background in fintech, regulated environments, or content platforms
- Familiarity with CMS-driven architectures and content validation strategies
