Senior Platform Engineer (PHP/Laravel)

We are a top-3 global player in the digital assets and payments space. Our platform facilitates stablecoin settlements and operates at a significant scale, serving millions of users. As we grow our critical tech hub in Vilnius, we are looking for a skilled engineer to help scale and uplift our core platform infrastructure.

Overview

As a Senior Platform Engineer, your core mission is to strengthen our platform, upgrade our infrastructure, and build tools that empower our global development team. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of key services, work with modern cloud technologies, and directly impact the scalability and reliability of a system used by millions.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Uplift: Take ownership of specific platform areas, focusing on upgrades, optimization, and enabling developer productivity.
• Build & Improve: Develop new services and improve existing applications, with a focus on scalability and maintainability. A key initial project will be upgrading our Laravel framework.
• Architect & Design: Contribute to the architectural design process for new solutions, applying best practices for scalable applications.
• Mentor & Collaborate: Mentor less experienced team members and collaborate effectively with a global team across Australia, the Philippines, and India.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: 4-5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a recent focus on Platform or DevOps responsibilities.
• PHP & Laravel Expert: Strong knowledge of the PHP programming language and deep, practical experience with the Laravel framework. This is non-negotiable.
• Cloud Knowledge: Must have knowledge of and experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, RDS, S3).
• Scale: You have worked on systems supporting a high user base (ideally 1M+ users).
• Location: You are based in Lithuania.
• Communication: Professional English proficiency.
