Position

As a software engineer at MeritStory, you will join a cross-functional team of experienced individuals working on diverse client projects.

You will spend most of your time producing high-quality, test-backed code for both web and mobile applications. Beyond coding, you’ll be encouraged to contribute to planning, workflow improvement, retrospectives, research, and technical design discussions.

Our projects typically last 3–12 months, giving you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge by solving varied business problems while collaborating with the same supportive colleagues.

Requirements

Ideally, a candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:

• Detail-oriented with high standards, open-minded, and eager to learn
• Passionate about writing efficient, well-structured, test-covered code
• Experience working with remote data via REST API
• Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6), OOP, Git, and experience with React / Vue
• Basic Flutter & Dart knowledge
• Experience working in a Scrum team
• Proficient communication in English

Bonus points for:

• Experience with modern JS toolset (TypeScript, Babel, webpack, ESLint)
• Mobile software development experience with published apps on App Store or Google Play
• Familiarity with React state management patterns (Redux, Context API, Hooks, etc.)
• Knowledge of Flutter design patterns (BLoC, Streams, Futures, etc.)
