We are looking for an AI Solutions Architect (Multi-Cloud) to design and guide the architecture that powers our AI-driven capabilities. Rather than reinventing infrastructure, you will leverage managed AI services across GCP and Azure to deliver features like semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent data enrichment. Working closely with Data and ML Engineers, you will define patterns, select technologies, and ensure our solutions are secure, performant, and cost-efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Strategy & Design

• Architect Multi-Cloud AI Workflows: Design patterns to integrate GCP-based data pipelines (BigQuery, Spanner) with Azure-hosted customer applications.
• Tool Selection & Standards: Evaluate and standardize managed AI services (Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs) for model hosting, RAG orchestration, and vector search.
• Vector Search Strategy: Define approach for semantic retrieval using pgvector, AlloyDB AI, or Azure Cognitive Search with embeddings.
• Cost & Performance: Establish strategies for latency optimization and cost control across clouds.

AI Enablement & Delivery

• RAG System Design: Implement retrieval-augmented generation patterns for small, volatile data chunks; ensure grounding and factuality.
• Evaluation & Observability: Define quality metrics (precision/recall, groundedness), latency targets, and cost per query; implement monitoring and evaluation pipelines.
• Developer Enablement: Create SDKs, playbooks, and reference implementations to accelerate feature delivery by ML and backend engineers.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure GDPR and customer-specific residency requirements are met.
• Define IAM and data boundary policies for multi-cloud environments.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Data Engineer and ML Engineer to integrate pipelines and models into production features.
• Partner with SREs for observability and incident workflows (without owning infra ops).

Your Profile:

• 5+ years in solutions/platform architecture or ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI) and Azure AI services.
• Practical knowledge of vector search (pgvector, AlloyDB AI, Azure Cognitive Search) and RAG orchestration.
• Strong Python or TypeScript for prototyping and integration.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud security and IAM patterns.

You get bonus points if you have any of the following:

• Experience with Vertex AI RAG Engine or Azure equivalents.
• Exposure to LangChain/LlamaIndex for orchestration.
• Understanding of cost/performance tuning for AI workloads.
