Data Analytics Specialist

As a supplier to one of our biggest organisations, I am seeking for a Data Analytics Specialist for a 12-month+ contract in Netherlands

Responsibilities

As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will focus on a few main topics within this functional area:

• Developing software that allows the department to perform data analyses better or faster;
• Performing complex data analyses; Coaching and training less experienced colleagues in Python;

You are able to translate questions into a (dimensional) data model and you have sufficient python skills to gain insights into data quality. You are used to working in an Agile environment, where collaboration is of paramount importance. You will work within Data Management in a team of analysts and engineers who support the department with data analysis, data science and data visualization expertise.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• WO working and thinking level with at least a completed HBO bachelor's degree (preferably master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or another relevant field;
• In-depth experience with Python development;
• In-depth experience in drafting SQL statements;
• You have experience in implementing data pipelines;
• Knowledge of Power BI or other dashboard tooling is an advantage;
• Knowledge of data cloud platforms such as Databricks or Cloudera Data Platform;
• You are independently able to create datasets a.d.h.v. SQL;
• You have experience in the short cyclical, iterative development, testing and production of software applications;
• Knowledge of data science is an advantage;
• Good command of the Dutch language is a requirement.
• Knowledge of the Agile SAFe framework is an advantage.
