What you will be doing:

• Provide solid support for any operational issues.
• Display good time management and strong documentation skills.
• Develop configurations for a wide range of networking technologies to meet requirements of architectural designs.
• Perform troubleshooting or make changes to complex network systems to address operational issues.
• Demonstrate advanced logical problem-solving skills.
• Make other teams and upper management aware of potential network risks or issues immediately and work to resolve these challenges in a timely manner
• Ensure a Highly Available Network

What you will bring to the role:

• 8 – 10 years experience as a senior network engineer working in a large-scale multi-datacenter service provider, or enterprise network.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of Cisco Nexus platforms including but not limited to vPC, dual-homed and single-homed FEX.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of Cisco ASR1000, C8500 series platforms, and IOS-XE.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of Cisco ASA and FirePower 4100 platforms.
• Working knowledge of F5 load balancers (iSeries or rSeries).
• Expert in dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF with working knowledge of ISIS.
• Expert knowledge and experience implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting and upgrading both physical and virtual networks.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize.
• Use of monitoring and management tools such as Zabbix.
• Good understanding of network engineering security principles, firewall rules, Cryptography PKI/Certificate Management, Attack vectors, Risk vs Vulnerabilities/Mitigation, and DDoS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must thrive in a collaborative work environment with a passion for sharing knowledge and ideas with others.

Bonus Skills:

• Software defined network design with Cisco ACI.
• Working knowledge of Cisco ASR9Ks, MPLS, and SRv4/v6.
• Knowledge of public cloud network services such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and how to integrate with on-prem services.
• Knowledge of network automation and Python scripting.
