Purpose of the job
Within the release trains, the Scrum Master serves in general two teams. She/He is responsible for ensuring that the team delivers PIPE and sprint commitments and promoting agile mindset and practices within teams, so that every member lives agile values, principles and uses the selected framework and practices to fully deliver value at end of each sprint and PI. The Scrum Master is accountable for the Team effectiveness. He does this by enabling the Agile Team to improve its practices, within the SAFE framework and other frameworks or agile methods. The Scrum master collaborates with the Release Train Engineer within the scaled release train setup and participate to the scrum master community and the Agile Delivery Operation team.

Main responsibilities & Tasks
The Scrum Master (SM) is accountable for :
- Ensuring that the team delivers PIPE and sprint commitments by continuously improving estimations, planning and monitoring practices
- Coaching the team and the organization to live agile values and principles
- Ensuring that the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use within the ART's practices
- Building a high-performing team
- Ensuring the team applies and knows the appropriate Skyguide processes (engineering, technical operations, administrative, safety, β¦)
- Leading the team in its continuous improvement
- Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions
- Fostering collaboration between the team and the organization
The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible to :
- Establishes an environment where the team can be effective by
o defining team composition and dynamics
o involving RTE, then line managers when team internal problems cannot be solved
o fostering a good team spirit, good working relationship, good inter-personal behaviours and transparency
o ensuring or increasing the use of appropriate DevOps and Cross-functional technics to improve efficiency and helping the team to reach the expected level of quality when delivering value
- Removes impediments, waste, and administrative overhead by
o anticipating and mitigating impediments
o organizing, if applicable, required training and certifications
o organizing, if applicable, the rostering
- Monitor risks and associated mitigation actions, as well as monitoring dependencies with other teams from the same ART NEW
- Collaborates with the team external stakeholders (other ARTs roles, Project Managers and when applicable also HR and Finance)
- Contributes to the Agile Operation team's mission success
Qualifications and technical competencies required
- Engineering / Technical Background
- Good project management skills
- Human oriented mindset
- Agile mindset and principles
- Collaborative, team player
- Organized and methodical
- Good communication skills roactive and outgoing personality
- 2+ years experience as Scrum master, with demonstrable achievements
- 1+ year experience as Scrum master in scaled agile setup (SAFe)
- Good know-how of agile frameworks / methods such as Scrum, Kanban, XP
- Good know-how of agile practices such as TDD, BDD, pair programming, relative estimation...
- Good know-how of DevOps practices and software engineering practices
- PSM or CSM certification
