Graduate AI Engineer


Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Location: Cardiff / Hybrid Working

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent


The Role

As a Graduate AI Engineer, you will play a part in designing, developing, and optimizing AI models, with a focus on NLP, LLMs, and machine learning. Working closely with experienced technical teams, you will contribute to the development of solutions that push the boundaries of AI technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, training, and fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs).
  • Develop and implement NLP solutions, such as sentiment analysis, text summarization, and entity recognition.
  • Research and experiment with machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems.
  • Work with large datasets to preprocess, clean, and structure data for training and analysis.
  • Deploy and integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver tailored AI solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest AI research, tools, and technologies.


About You

We’re looking for a passionate and curious individual eager to kickstart their career in artificial intelligence. You’ll need a strong academic background in AI-related topics and a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team.


Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning).
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing techniques (e.g., tokenization, embeddings, transformer models).
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with ML/AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
  • Knowledge of working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
