Java Backend Developer
I am seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with a Telecoms background to join a contract assignment with my client in Sweden. This is 3 month contract assignment ( with a possibility of extension ) to be performed on site at the customer offices in KarlsKronna.
You will join an international team dedicated to developing a high-performance Online Charging System (OCS). In this assignment, you will lead backend engineering efforts, drive innovation through the use of Java and AI technologies and provide mentorship to team members within an agile framework. You enjoy thriving in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are proactive in building relationships both within the organization and externally.
What you will do:
• Design and develop scalable backend services in Java.
• Lead features based on 3GPP Policy Control (Diameter, 5G REST).
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver product increments.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Support AI and DevOps tool adoption (e.g., Amazon Kiro, Copilot, Kubernetes).
The skills you bring:
• 5+ years in backend development with Java
• Experience with telecom protocols (Diameter, 5G REST).
• Strong skills in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Proficient with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven.
• Agile mindset; experience working in Scrum teams.
