Senior Backend .NET Developer – Game Server Development (Stockholm)

Location: Stockholm (Hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite)

We’re working with a fast-growing game technology studio building online games for the global market. Their products are live in production environments where performance, stability, and precision are critical.

They are now expanding their backend team and looking to hire a senior backend developer to work on the core game server systems that power their products.

The role

This is a purely backend-focused position, building and maintaining the game servers behind each title. Every game is treated as its own project with a short development cycle (typically 1–3 months), meaning clean releases and attention to detail are absolutely essential.

You will:

• Develop and maintain backend services using .NET
• Build and optimise game server logic with a strong focus on correctness and performance
• Work closely with designers and frontend teams to support game features
• Ensure bug-free, production-ready releases under tight launch timelines
• Solve complex technical and mathematical problems related to game mechanics and payouts

What we're looking for

• ~5+ years’ experience in backend-heavy development using .NET
• Strong attention to detail and a mindset for clean, correct, and reliable code
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Mathematical or engineering background, or strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high stakes
• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or similar
• Experience working on high-availability or performance-critical systems
