Garda is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.Net) in its Research and Technology (R&T) group based out of our Wayzata Office.
The R&T team is responsible for all of the firm's applications & infrastructure including analytics, portfolio and risk management. The selected candidate will join the team are responsible for building and maintaining the services that support our Middle Office and Trade Support operations. This position requires proficiency and experience in software development using Microsoft .Net based technologies. While prior business knowledge is not mandatory, capital markets related experience will be a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop new line of business solutions using C#, WinForms, WPF, Javascript / React, Excel, R and SQL (Oracle / Postgres)
- Provide support for in-house and 3rd party applications
- Diagnose and fix issues with trading desk systems (In-house analytics, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, other vendor and proprietary systems)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or Finance
- 7+ years of object-oriented development using C# and Microsoft.Net Experience with .Net 6+ with Web API, dependency
- 7+ years of database, SQL, ORM experience
- Strong experience with Javascript, React, Python
- Must be comfortable with development across the application stack
- Ability to complete complex projects independently
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment
- Knowledge of fixed income trading and related financial instruments including bonds and interest rate derivative products
- Experience with Excel, Excel VBA, Bloomberg is a plus
Base Salary for this role is expected to be between:
$125,000—$175,000 USD
