Design Drives Business Value.

Design is a strategic function for PepsiCo to drive business value by creating experiences and brand engagements of which people deeply want to be a part. In partnership with the Business and R&D units, we’re applying this approach to our existing portfolio of brands and to an entire new platform of products yet to be born. We are one of the first major corporations to integrate different design disciplines—brand design, design execution, industrial design, design strategy, front-end innovation—into a single group.

Responsibilities

The role:

In this role, you will report to the Design Director and collaborate with other Design & Innovation team members to drive design thinking from ideation thru concept development, refinement, and execution.

Accountabilities:

  • Creating high quality brand design solutions in a rapid paced, high-output environment
  • Present design concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Quickly sketch ideas to create and communicate concepts
  • Participate and contribute in brainstorm sessions
  • Be able to iterate on designs based on direction and feedback from Brand Design lead(s)
  • Design in alignment to evolving brand needs with emphasis on brand consistency + meet business objectives
  • Ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment
  • Communicates regularly. Manages own timelines, milestones and internal deadlines to ensure timely delivery

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,700 - $118,400.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years studio experience as a graphic designer taking projects from concept through completion
  • Brand, communication design background or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design preferred but not required
  • Background + understanding of brand/graphic design as well as a basic understanding of industrial design + motion preferred
  • Strong portfolio of design work showcasing both print and digital projects
  • Social media-minded curator
  • Digital + photography interest or experience
  • Brand design background and style guideline experience, 360 visual identity
  • Strong typography and layout sensibility
  • Great sketching (digital and/or hand sketching) skills and idea development techniques to create and communicate concepts -- ability to articulate ideas conceptually . Illustration skills would be a (
  • Technically solid, able to illuminate ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of media
  • Expert at Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Works well with others to deliver results; keeps others informed to avoid unnecessary surprises
