Backend Developer (Security-Focused) — Mid-Level Growth Role

About the Role 

Quanta Tech Systems is hiring a mid-level Backend Developer to support the development and stabilization of a security-focused application. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for an engineer who is comfortable working in production systems and is looking to grow into higher ownership over time. 

You will work closely with senior engineers to implement backend features, support infrastructure, and help maintain system reliability as the product evolves. This role is ideal for someone who is technically solid, dependable, and ready to take on increasing responsibility with guidance. 

What You Will Do 

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs 

• Implement features and improvements under direction from senior engineers 

• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in staging and production 

• Support system performance, reliability, and scalability 

• Contribute to technical discussions and implementation planning 

• Collaborate with product, frontend, and leadership teams in an async environment 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code 

What You Bring 

• 3–6 years of professional backend development experience (mid-level) 

• Proficiency in Node.js, Golang, or Python 

• Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services 

• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure 

• Comfort debugging production issues with team support 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently 

• English proficiency B2 or higher 

• Ukraine-based preferred for timezone alignment 

Security Context 

This role supports a product operating in a security-focused environment. Deep security specialization is not required, but candidates should be comfortable working alongside security-related features and concepts with guidance. 

Nice to Have 

• Familiarity with authentication flows or networking basics 

• Experience working on SaaS or infrastructure-adjacent products 

• Interest in learning more about security-focused systems 

• Some exposure to frontend frameworks for collaboration 

Compensation 

$2,500–$3,500 USD/month, depending on experience and scope.

This is a mid-level growth role, with compensation increases tied to performance and expanded responsibility over time.
