Job Description- BI Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a BI Analyst to turn complex data into clear, impactful visuals. You’ll design dashboards, reports, and charts, translate business needs into visual solutions, and collaborate with teams across product, marketing, finance, and operations to drive data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain intuitive dashboards and visual analytics solutions that address business questions and KPIs.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define metrics, and determine the most effective visual storytelling approach.
• Perform data wrangling and transformation to support reliable visuals; ensure data quality and consistency.
• Create reusable visualization templates, components, and dashboards that scale across teams.
• Optimize dashboards for performance.
• Produce clear documentation, data dictionaries, and training materials, mentor business users on self-service analytics.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback; iterate visuals to improve clarity and impact.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on data models, data pipelines, and governance.
• Stay current with visualization best practices, design principles, and new BI tool capabilities.
• Proactively monitor usage, gather adoption metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
  
  

Tools & Tech Stack

• BI/Visualization platforms: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik (experience with one or more required)
• Data querying: SQL (advanced proficiency required)
• Data manipulation: Python or R
• Data sources: Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Azure SQL, Oracle)
• Visualization/UX concepts: Colour theory, Typography, Layout, Accessibility, KPI design
• Version control, documentation, and storytelling best practices
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent is required.
• 3+ Years of hands-on experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or analytics.
• 3+ Years of advanced SQL skills
• Proficiency with at least one major BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik).
• 3+ Years’ experience with Data Modeling
• 3+ Years’ experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 2+ Years of Python development experience
• Experience working with cloud platform (i.e. AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling visuals and business stories.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data lineage concepts.
• Global experience a plus
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional areas to deliver results
• Certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Power BI Certification) will be preferred
