The Role

Atturra Cloud Business Solutions team is looking for an experienced UI Designer to join our rapidly growing teams, to design and build systems and applications for Atturra’s Defence project.

UI Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools.

Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address clients’ needs and help grow the customer base.

The ideal candidate MUST be based in Canberra and will be required to work on a hybrid arrangement at the client site. Additionally, holding an active NV1 Security Clearance is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure IT Tool is functional, easy and enjoyable to use
• Develop wireframes and user flows to visualise design concepts
• Develop .css and design files to make the tool look more accessible and informative
• Conduct usability testing to gather feedback
• Collaborate with Designers, developers and stakeholders ensuring design vision is implemented
• Organise content in intuitive and user-friendly way
• Gather user feedback to improve overall user experience and adoption
• Work collaboratively with development teams to build a solid understanding of testing objectives and requirements
• Liaise with key stakeholders including development team coordinators, product managers and business analysts.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a UI Designer, particularly in a Defence or Federal Government project
• Portfolio of design projects
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
• Active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance is required at minimum for this role.
