Systems Engineer
Location: Stevenage (Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site)
Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
Please note this role requires British Citizenship or Dual UK National status and successful completion of BPSS security clearance checks.
A leading defence organisation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join an ambitious Future Combat Air Programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to next-generation combat air systems, focusing on innovative weapon integration and system-of-systems architecture within a high-profile international partnership. The Role
You will lead system-of-systems concepting activities, own key requirements, and drive architectural processes using Model Based Engineering tools. Partnering with design teams, you will define system concepts, trade-offs, and design principles, ensuring successful delivery within a fast-paced, agile environment. You will also manage junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve program goals.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a systems engineer on defence or aerospace programs, particularly in system-of-systems engineering and architecture
- Expertise with Model Based Engineering tools and managing complex requirements
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence multi-domain design decisions
- Experience in managing engineers and working collaboratively in agile teams
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Eligibility for BPSS security clearance; British Citizenship or Dual UK National
