We are seeking 2 motivated graduates to join our Melbourne team as a Software Developer. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational technical skills, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
The graduate will be located at our Melbourne office.
Developer 1: Required Fundamentals
- Programming Basics: Understanding of object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, C#, or similar).
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Database Concepts: Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Software Development Principles: Awareness of version control (e.g., Git) and SDLC processes.
- Innovation: Candidate should have experience or a srong interest in AI and automation
- Citizenship requirements: Applicant for Developer 1 role must be an Australian citizen or will beobtaining Australian Citizenship by March 16th 2026.
- Backend Development: building APIs and services using Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Frontend Development: Ability to develop responsive, accessible UIs using React, Angular, or Vue, and integrate with backend services.
- Security & Compliance: Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection standards
- Database Management: Advanced skills in schema design, query optimization, and database performance tuning; exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
- Testing & Quality: Experience with/or an interest in learning automated testing frameworks
- Nice to have (but not required): Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP, Devops
- Citizenship requirements: Applicant for Developer 2 role must be an Australian Ciitzen, Permanent resident or 485 working visa holder
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down problems and propose logical solutions.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in coding and configuration.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative, client facing environment.
In the yearlong graduate program, you’ll be shown the ropes through foundation masterclasses, then depending on your skill set you’ll be off doing project work – it could be software development if that’s your jam, or organisational change management or business analysis if that’s what your skills are aligned to.
