About our role: Medior UX/UI designer.

Our client is a major player in the Belgian financial sector, known for its commitment to digital innovation, customer-centric services, and sustainable finance. As the financial industry continues to evolve, user experience has become a key differentiator. This role offers the opportunity to shape how customers interact with digital banking products, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences. The banking sector in Belgium is rapidly adopting mobile-first strategies and investing in design systems to streamline development and enhance consistency across platforms. If you’re passionate about creating seamless digital journeys and want to contribute to meaningful financial solutions, this is the role for you.

What you will be doing:

• Transform concepts into intuitive and high-quality user flows and screens using design system components.
• Design all screen states and flow paths with a focus on usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
• Gather input from stakeholders to understand user needs and technical feasibility.
• Seek inspiration from best-in-class examples inside and outside the financial sector.
• Ensure clear information hierarchy and visual clarity at screen level.
• Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with UX copywriters to integrate content smoothly into designs.
• Actively use and contribute to the client’s design system for mobile native and web platforms.
• Participate in the UX/UI Community of Practice to share knowledge, co-create standards, and support peers.
• Lead refinement phases and support concept designers during ideation with visual input.
• Deliver pixel-perfect screens and prototypes to development squads and follow up with front-end teams.

What you bring:

• Experience designing for mobile-first and native platforms, with knowledge of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Scrum development cycle.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their impact on design and development.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Zeplin.
• Comfort working with and contributing to design systems and reusable components.
• Ability to document work clearly and create effective briefs for researchers and developers.
• Fluent communication in French or Dutch (C1 level), with solid understanding of English (B1/B2 level).
• Creative mindset paired with structured and goal-oriented thinking.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive and open approach to feedback.
• Ownership of your designs throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation.
