Job Title: Project Manager (Agile & Traditional Delivery)

Job Description:

Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-workstream delivery on a complex programme. The successful candidate will bring a hybrid approach, combining traditional project management with agile methodologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as a dedicated Scrum Master for one agile delivery team.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams from initiation to delivery, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and escalate blockers when needed.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to drive the overall programme delivery.
• Evaluate team capabilities and resource needs, ensuring high performance and alignment with programme goals.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager working on complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
• Strong background in both Agile delivery (as Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager) and traditional project management.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering high-value projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

• Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Certified Scrum Master).
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project tracking platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile at scale frameworks (e.g. SAFe, LeSS) is a plus.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, IT, or Project Management.
