For a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of industrial production lines for stone wool, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f). Our client is a fast-growing Ljubljana-based company that exports its products internationally.

The candidate will design machinery and equipment using a 3D CAD system (the company uses Creo) and is expected to have a good knowledge of AutoCAD for preparing 2D documentation. Applications from junior candidates with relevant CAD knowledge and strong motivation to learn are also welcome. A mentor will be provided upon employment.

Job Description

• Designing machinery and equipment in compliance with applicable safety standards and guidelines
• Monitoring industry trends and proposing changes, innovations, and introducing new techniques to improve the efficiency and safety of machinery and equipment
• Participating in the supervision of equipment manufacturing at suppliers and verifying compliance with designs and safety requirements
• Contributing to the development of new machinery and the upgrading of existing solutions in line with the company’s development strategy
• Managing project documentation and archiving in accordance with agreed traceability and safety requirements
• Preparing and producing technical documentation, mandatory records, and reports, including machinery safety documentation, in an agreed manner
• Planning and carrying out measurements on machinery and equipment in a documented and systematic way, and proposing improvements based on the results
• Performing other tasks related to machinery and equipment design as instructed by the supervisor and in line with the company’s development and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Proficiency in Creo or another comparable 3D CAD software is preferred
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience in preparing 2D workshop and assembly drawings based on 3D models
• Understanding of technical standards and basic safety requirements related to mechanical components and assemblies
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in Slovenian and English
• Completed at least a higher education degree (Level VI/I) in a relevant technical field
• Active knowledge of English
• Knowledge of stone wool production technology is an advantage but not a requirement
• Proficiency in Windows and MS Office
