Why This Role Matters
As an Application Developer Senior Analyst in Global Manufacturing IT, you will support Goodyear plants by developing, deploying, and maintaining IT solutions that optimize production, quality, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring our manufacturing operations remain at the forefront of industry standards.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and deploy IT systems and third-party components to support manufacturing operations
- Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain data integrity and system stability
- Deliver technical support, training, and guidance during start-up or modification of IT applications and processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions
- Write and maintain documentation supporting systems, processes, and applications
- Apply current technologies and methodologies to expand the capabilities of Goodyear IT systems
- Stay up to date with emerging IT tools, programming languages, and manufacturing technologies to enhance system performance
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 4–5 years of experience applying IT solutions to business or manufacturing operations
- Fluency in English
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work semi-independently and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and minimal error in execution
- Experience with Linux, C programming, PHP, SQL, ActiveMQ/Camel, ExtJs, C# .NET, or containerization (Docker/Podman)
- Knowledge of version control (GitHub, CVS), configuration as code (Ansible), shell scripting, build pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub), and artifact repositories (Nexus)
- Passion for learning manufacturing processes and tire production concepts
