Position: DevOps Engineer (Observability & Distributed Systems)
Location: Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw
Type of work: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)- obligatory
Salaries: base+ financial bonus

Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain AWS cloud-native applications, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, , API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation/CDK, and others.
- Design and implement observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions using AWS-native and third-party tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
- Lead system requirement analysis, produce detailed design documentation, and ensure solutions meet reliability, security, and scalability standards.
- Develop high-quality application code, perform in-depth unit and integration testing, and support production deployments.
- Optimize cloud resource usage, improve performance, and diagnose complex distributed system issues.
- Review and improve CI/CD pipelines, IaC templates, and automation scripts.
- Guide engineering teams through best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, resiliency engineering, and observability maturity.
- Conduct peer code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and influence engineering roadmap and standards at an organizational level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on AWS development.
- Expertise in AWS cloud services, cloud-native design patterns, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform), and distributed system design.
- Strong background in building and tuning observability systems, including metrics, logging, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and large-system software design.
- Experience troubleshooting complex cloud issues, optimizing performance, and resolving production incidents.
- Familiarity with container orchestration, API design, networking fundamentals, and security best practices in the cloud.
