The Wyss Academy for Nature brings together science and partners to enable systemic transformations for nature and people, working globally through Regional Stewardship Hubs.
For the next strategic phase 2026–2030, we are seeking a Head of Engagement (80–100%), reporting to the Director and serving as a member of the Executive Management.
Your role – shaping global engagement and partnerships
You lead the Wyss Academy’s engagement agenda across four Competence Centres: Policy, Private Sector Engagement, Corporate Communications and ICT for Nature, ensuring strong coalitions and partnerships that amplify impact across all regions.
Tasks
- Implement an integrated engagement strategy and the Academy’s “Coalitions for Change” approach
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, investors, financial institutions and public stakeholders
- Strengthen international positioning and corporate communications
- Advance new technologies for nature and people—scaling digital tools that enable participation, co-creation, coalition building and learning across regions
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary, international team and collaborate closely with the Director, COO and scientific leadership
- Oversees the policy outreach activities and engagement with policy shapers on a global and multilateral level
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience (ideally 10+ years) at the intersection of science, policy and practice (NGO, foundation, public sector, international organization or private sector)
- Proven strength in multi-stakeholder coalitions and policy processes and/or high-impact private sector partnerships
- Strong experience in Global South contexts, excellent stakeholder management and political sensitivity
- Excellent English; German, French and/or Spanish are strong assets
