We are looking for a hands on Head of Energy Storages / CTO – Energy Storages (BESS) to lead the development of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions as we scale across Europe.
This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys building products, teams, and technology platforms in a fast-moving startup environment, while ensuring compliance with European and international standards.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive the BESS technology roadmap from concept to commercial deployment.
- Lead system design across batteries, inverters, EMS, and grid integration.
- Ensure compliance with EU grid codes, safety, and international standards.
- Support customer projects, tenders, and technical decision-making.
- Attend events and give presentation on our technology and solutions.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering and R&D team.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience in energy storage, power systems, or renewables.
- Strong hands-on experience with BESS architectures and grid-connected systems.
- Experience working on international or multi-country European projects.
- Strategic mindset with a pragmatic, startup-ready approach.
- Excellent presentation skills – also to large audiences.
- Willingness to travel.
Languages
- Fluent English (required).
- Finnish and Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
