🎄 The role, Senior SRE, Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a hands-on Senior SRE role with a big production focus at the start, then quickly evolving into a stronger Senior Site Reliability Engineer function as you shape the way the team runs.

You’ll be the person who turns “we should have a better on-call model” into “we do, and it works” 📘✅

You’ll also be the escalation point when customers hit issues that need deeper investigation than standard support can do, think logs, data, platform behaviour, and real root cause analysis 🔍🧠

Over time, you’ll help build a follow-the-sun rhythm, and the role is likely to grow into leading capability, including adding support across EU or US time zones 🌍🕒

🧩 What you’ll be doing

• Owning production incidents end to end, triage, coordination, comms, resolution, and learning loops 🚨✅
• Building and improving on-call and incident response patterns, runbooks, escalation paths, and reliability habits 🛠️📘
• Doing deep technical investigations across logs, data stores, and service behaviour, especially when the answer isn’t obvious 🔍🧠
• Troubleshooting modern Node.js and TypeScript services, plus complex API integrations 🧩⚙️
• Working in AWS serverless environments, monitoring, alerting, caching, storage, search, and the systems that keep a SaaS platform fast and reliable ☁️🔭
• Supporting issues that surface in mobile ecosystems too, iOS and Android, app to backend behaviours, weird edge cases 📱🔧
• Partnering closely with engineering and product, helping teams ship fast without breaking trust 🌪️🤝

🎯 What we’re looking for

• A proven self-starter who’s comfortable operating in ambiguity, you see a messy situation and you create clarity and momentum 🧠⚡
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause instincts, you can navigate data and logs confidently 🔍
• Around 6+ years in production facing roles like SRE, Senior SRE, production engineering, platform ops, or technical support for complex systems 🧰
• Calm, clear incident leadership, you’ve handled high severity production events before 🚨🧯
• Great communication with cross-functional teams, especially when it’s high stakes ✍️
• Bonus points for experience with observability tooling, CI/CD and deployment troubleshooting, React or React Native familiarity, and legacy environments when needed 📈🧪🧑 💻🪟
