Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) expertise to lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of EMR systems across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare project management, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on experience delivering EMR initiatives on time and within scope.

• Lead end-to-end EMR projects, including planning, execution, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support

• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, IT, and vendor stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies

• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with EMR system providers (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, etc.)

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)

• Facilitate workflow analysis, system configuration, data migration, and user acceptance testing

• Oversee training plans and change management activities to drive user adoption

• Track project performance, report status to leadership, and resolve issues proactively
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

• 3+ years of project management experience in a healthcare environment

• Direct experience managing EMR/EHR implementations or upgrades

• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex timelines

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent)

• Experience with specific EMR platforms (please specify if applicable)

• Experience in hospitals, large provider groups, or health systems

• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
