Role

As a frontend-focused software engineer, you are excited about building intuitive yet powerful human-robot interfaces. You will develop complex graphical user interfaces that visualize robots’ state and provide user-friendly commands for complex hardware interactions. While your primary focus will be the frontend, building these interfaces requires understanding and influencing our end-to-end tech stack. You will navigate backend logic and infrastructure to build and optimize client-side functionality. You are passionate about building intuitive tools, have excellent development skills across the stack, and are excited to be part of a world-class, innovative engineering team.

How your work moves the mission forward

  • Build human-facing interfaces for the design, debugging, and operation of automated workcells.
  • Collaborate closely across design, engineering, and product teams to understand UX requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Monitor and improve the health, performance, and robustness of our frontend code and its integration with backend APIs.

Skills you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with full stack web engineering.
  • Proficiency in building client-side (TypeScript/JavaScript) and familiarity with server-side (Go, C++, etc.) software.
  • Experience with building complex web applications that enable deep user interactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

  • Experience working with 3D graphical environments (e.g., Three.js, WebGL) and geometry processing.
  • Experience with Angular, React, Vue, or similar high-level JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with industrial robotics or automation.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform services).
