NOTE: this role is different
We're not looking for a developer who "uses AI when needed."
We want someone who has fundamentally changed how they work — where Claude Code (or similar) writes 80%+ of your code, and your job is to architect, direct, review, and iterate.
If you still think of yourself as the person who types the code, this isn't for you.
If you've discovered that your value is in knowing what to build and recognising when AI gets it wrong, keep reading.
About ENTTEC
ENTTEC is a leading manufacturer of LED lighting control systems, established in 1999. We design and build innovative hardware and software solutions for the entertainment, architectural, and commercial lighting industries worldwide. You can learn more at ENTTEC's website.
Role description
You'll work on .NET applications for lighting control systems and build automated testing frameworks for software and hardware devices.
But here's how you'll do it:
- Receive requirements and break them into clear, AI-promptable chunks
- Direct Claude Code to implement solutions while you review and refine
- Catch the mistakes AI makes (because it will) and know how to course-correct
- Build test automation that validates both software and physical hardware devices
- Ship working solutions in a fraction of traditional development time
Role split: 60% .NET development, 40% test automation (software + hardware)
WHO IS THIS FOR
You're right for this role if:
- You've built real projects where AI wrote most of the code
- You can describe your prompt-to-review ratio (and it's heavily weighted to prompts)
- You understand that senior AI-assisted development is about architecture and validation, not typing speed
- You've developed intuition for when AI is confidently wrong
- You get excited about 5-10x productivity, not threatened by it
You're not made for this role if:
- You use AI "when you get stuck" or "to speed things up occasionally"
- You feel the need to rewrite AI-generated code to make it "yours"
- You're skeptical that AI can handle "real" development work
- You think AI-assisted coding is a shortcut rather than a skill
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- C# and .NET — You need to read, understand, and validate the code AI produces
- Testing frameworks — NUnit, xUnit, or similar. Testing-first mindset essential
- Architecture thinking — You decide the structure, AI fills it in
- CI/CD experience — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
- Clear technical communication — Your prompts are your new code
Valuable additions:
- Hardware test automation experience
- Lighting protocols (DMX, ArtNet, sACN, KiNET)
- Real-time or embedded systems background
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Working Hours: 8am to 5pm, (Monday to Friday)
Status: Full-time
Location: Dubai Al Quoz 4 - on site

HOW TO APPLY
Please submit the following:
- Your CV/Resume
- AI Development evidence (required)
Share ONE of the following:
- A GitHub repo or code sample from a project built primarily with AI tools
- Screen recording or screenshots of an actual Claude Code / Cursor / Copilot session
- A detailed breakdown of a recent feature you shipped using AI-first workflow
We want to see how you actually work, not how you think you should work.
3. Your workflow (200 words max)
When you receive a new feature requirement, walk us through your actual process. Be specific about where AI fits in and what you do vs. what AI does.
4.Problem-solving:
Scenario:
A .NET web application becomes progressively slower throughout the day. Page loads go from 2 seconds to 30+ seconds. Restarting fixes it temporarily. Memory climbs from 500MB to 4GB. No recent code changes.
Provide:
a) Your opening prompt to Claude Code (200-300 words)
Copy/paste exactly what you would write. We're evaluating your prompt engineering as much as your technical thinking.
b) What makes a good vs. bad response? (2-3 sentences)
How do you evaluate whether Claude's initial response is on the right track or needs redirection?
c) Your redirect prompt (100 words max)
If Claude goes down the wrong path, how do you course-correct?
If you read this ad and thought "finally, someone gets it" — apply.
If you read it and thought "this seems like a gimmick" — don't.
