Location: Norway
Employment Type: Permanent / Contract
Salary: Approx. 1,350,000 NOK per annum or 8,100–8,300 NOK per day (Negotiable)
A leading international engineering delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre developments across Norway. The role sits within a fast-growing programme delivering mission-critical electrical infrastructure to the highest standards of resilience, safety, and reliability.
The organisation specialises in the delivery of complex, high-availability environments, providing full project lifecycle services from early design coordination through construction, installation, testing, and commissioning. Continued expansion within the Nordic data centre market has created the need for a senior electrical project professional with proven experience in critical facilities.
Role Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will assume full responsibility for assigned data centre projects, acting as the central coordination point for electrical works. You will manage technical delivery, commercial performance, and programme execution from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring compliance with stringent uptime, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary interface with clients and consultants on all electrical, commercial, and programme matters.
- Take full ownership of project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit regular internal progress and financial reports to senior stakeholders.
- Manage all project documentation, including contracts, variations, and change control.
- Produce structured monthly client reports for review and approval.
- Coordinate electrical design, procurement, logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Manage site resources, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers in live or phased data centre environments.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with contractual requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Oversee project close-out, including commissioning, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and warranty handover.
- Enforce strict compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Ensure all deliverables meet data centre resilience, redundancy, and availability standards.
About You
We are looking for a professional with:
- Proven experience delivering electrical packages on data centre or other mission-critical facilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, including LV/HV systems, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes with multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- High level of commercial awareness and experience managing project financials.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with subcontractors under formal contractual agreements.
- Willingness to travel to site and work within demanding construction environments.
- Fluency in English; Norwegian language skills are beneficial but not essential.
