Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ingest, transform, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support data analysis, reporting, and downstream applications.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize ML models within Azure ML Studio, including data preparation, feature engineering, and model deployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring reliability and data quality.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT solutions following best practices for cloud architecture, security, and data governance.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and automation of repetitive data processing tasks.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data workflows, pipeline configurations, and system architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a data engineering or development role.
- Proficient in Azure Data Factory (ADF): building, debugging, scheduling, and managing data pipelines.
- Strong command of T-SQL: complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure ML Studio: integrating datasets, training models, and managing ML pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and data architecture.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Blob Storage, Data Lake, Synapse, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying ML models into production environments.
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation or ML integration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data and ML workflows.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate are a plus.
