MISSION

At Optimy, we believe that business can be a force for good. We empower organizations across Europe and North America to create meaningful social impact through innovative SaaS solutions for grant management, sponsorships and CSR programs.

Today, over 350 organizations in more than 30 countries, including global leaders like AXA, Roche, Veolia, Michelin, Diageo, etc. trust Optimy to run high-impact programs that align with their values and strategy.

Founded in Belgium, Optimy is expanding across Europe and North America. We combine purpose with performance, and growth with care. Our culture is built on trust, ownership and collaboration, and we are proud to offer an environment where people can truly make a difference for our customers and for each other.

As part of this journey, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to play a key role in structuring and scaling the HR function.

Why this role matters

As Optimy continues to scale, our people operations must scale with the same level of excellence, structure and human touch.

As HR Generalist, you will take full ownership of HR administration across Europe and Canada while acting as a key partner to leadership on recruitment and people projects. You will help transform HR from “support” into a strategic enabler of our scale-up ambitions.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end role for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys building structure in a growing environment, and wants to leave an imprint on how Optimy works, grows and feels.

What you will do

  • Take full ownership of HR administration across Europe and Canada (payroll coordination, contracts, offer letters, employee requests, benefits, HRtools, compliance and legal monitoring).
  • Act as the go-to HR contact for employees, ensuring a smooth, compliant and human employee experience.
  • Drive and manage end-to-end recruitment in a fast-growing scale-up context, from role definition to onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Head of HR to lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Partner on the design and implementation of performance management and annual review cycles.
  • Develop comprehensive learning & development strategies and structured training plans.
  • Lead and actively contribute to company-wide team-building and engagement initiatives.
  • Support office management activities in collaboration with external stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve HR processes, documentation and tools to support scalability and clarity.

What we are looking for

  • Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist or similar role, ideally in a scale-up or international environment.
  • Strong expertise in HR administration, payroll coordination and employment compliance, with exposure to multiple countries.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and hiring in a fast-paced growth context.
  • Comfortable taking full ownership of your scope, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Able to balance operational excellence with strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion and empathy.
  • Fluent in English and French (other European languages are a plus).
  • Passionate about building strong cultures and supporting people through change.

Practical Information

  • Hybrid working model: 2 days remote, 3 days at the office
  • Freelance contract - Full-time or 4/5
