Reporting to the Head of the Digital Ecosystems Support Sector (DESS), as a Senior Systems Engineer, you will have the technical leadership role, as what pertains to server infrastructure, virtualisation and core infrastructure services. Additionally, you will take part to the maintenance, improvement and lifecycle planning of the overall infrastructure. As a Senior Systems Engineer your primary responsibilities will include:
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on servers’ infrastructure related topics/projects.
• Handle day-to-day servers’ infrastructure maintenance and support activities ensuring
effective prioritisation and timely delivery of tasks, including planning and execution of
infrastructure deployment, maintenance, upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Monitor operational performance, identify risks or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards, security requirements, and change
management processes, including creating and maintaining all required documentation
(policies, procedures, processes, etc.).
• Support continuous improvement by driving documentation quality, process optimisation and knowledge sharing.
