Senior Kotlin Backend Developer:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Kotlin Backend Developer for a long contract based in Amsterdam.

Job Details:

As a Kotlin Backend Developer, you will be a valued team member and collaborative team player, contributing to shared successes. You will work within an Agile Scrum team operating in two-week sprints and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

You will design, analyse, and implement application and data architecture solutions, develop high-quality backend code, enforce coding standards, and establish best practices. You will also manage deployments and take shared responsibility for the team’s codebase within a DevOps way of working, including availability for 24/7 on-call standby rotations.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin (minimum 2 years; 4+ years preferred)
• Solid experience with Java and Kotlin (mandatory)
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices in an Azure cloud environment
• Experience with Kafka, Grafana, PostgreSQL, and APIs is a strong plus
