Skincode is a fast-growing Swiss dermo-cosmetic company with a sizable international presence. We offer an attractive workplace where you would be part of a diverse and multi-cultural team, helping to drive a globally recognized brand that is built on the integrity of clean, safe, and effective formulas.

As Product Development Manager you will play a crucial, cross-functional role, working closely with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Purchasing, and external labs. This key role offers an opportunity to help build a continuously growing brand and bring exciting concepts to life.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the product development across the full lifecycle, from ideation and brief creation through development, validation and market launch.
  • Drive the creation of breakthrough product concepts, ensuring both innovation and long-term strategy. Identify emerging trends and build on current portfolio to drive growth.
  • Create detailed briefs for external labs with clear ingredient direction and product priorities, while evaluating cost implications, feasibility and regulatory demands.
  • Analyse cost efficiency across formulas, packaging and testing. Partner with Purchasing to negotiate options and track quotations.
  • Ensure formulas comply with market regulations and stay current on future restrictions.
  • Support Marketing with ingredient and formula information, storytelling, as well as claim substantiations for content, packaging and training.
  • Project Management: Own end-to-end project timelines for multiple products (new launches and reformulations), ensuring all milestones are delivered on time, proactively communicating changes, risks, and impacts across departments.
  • Manage all formula testing, as well as clinical and consumer testing with external labs / testing partners.

Desired skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in product development in the skincare industry.
  • Strong understanding of skincare formulations, ingredients, claims and the development process.
  • Proactive, flexible and resourceful personality with good project management skills and the ability to juggle several developments at the same time.
  • Strong oral and written communication and storytelling skills in English and ideally German. English is the shared business language. French would be an advantage.
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A genuine passion for skincare and the beauty industry is a must-have.

Start date: Upon agreement.
